I am so grateful and blessed to have so many good friends! Friends are truly one of life’s blessings! One of my good work friends named Dena, made me a gratitude Jar recently and gave it to me when we returned from our Christmas holiday break. I was so thrilled to have received it. Dena is a very sweet and thoughtful lady, and a pleasure to work with. So, the purpose of a gratitude Jar is a visual reminder of life’s daily blessings and to be grateful for them no matter how small! What you do is write down good things that happen to you throughout the year. It could be kind words or acts, special memories, surprise gifts or accomplished goals. What I decided to do with the jar was to keep it at work and write a few “good things” down when I have a quiet moment at lunch to reflect. On New Years Eve, I’ll open the jar and read all the wonderful things that touched my heart this year. I just love this idea and it is so easy to do! Here’s how Dena did it!
What she did was take a large mason jar and wrap a pretty ribbon around the middle.
Then she wrote on a large tag some ideas on what might be included in the jar.
Lastly, she added some colorful confetti!
As you can see, I already have included some things that have caused me to reflect. Thank you Dena for being so thoughtful! I’m grateful for you!
